I’ve got to free myself from the shackles of this corporate existence. Accordingly, here are my restated goals for 2011, in chronological order:
1. I will play a minimum of 80K hands in April, and maintain a minimum winrate of 5bb/100 during that stretch.
2. I will move up to $1-$2 in May, and will stay at this level at least until such time as I have maintained a winrate of 4bb/100 over the course of 200K consecutive hands.
3. By the end of the year, my online bankroll will reach $100K.
4. When my online bankroll reaches $100K, I will withdraw the requisite amount to pay taxes on my poker winnings and eradicate all unsecured debt (i.e., car, credit cards, student loan).
5. Before the end of the year, I will contact a realtor and mortgage broker to begin the process of identifying and securing a property. My intention will be to make a purchase in 2012, before formally severing ties with my current employer.
There. I’ve said it. No turning back now.
Another night, another decent win (5 buy-ins)...
